Are smartphones controlling us?

We are living in 21st century, and it seems to me that we could not live without smartphones, and other smart devices. Are those devices really controlling our lives? It seems to me that most people could not imagine their lives withou their phones, and that is not good at all.

It seems that we are really tied.
