Dear all friend,

Have a good day. This is for your kind information that now it is time to share about Bullock cart.

So let's go.....

A bullock cart is a special type of vehicle with two wheeled cows or bullocks. These vehicles usually have two wheels attached to a single axis. This cart is pulled in two cow or ox shoes with a yoke at the front. Usually the driver sits in front of the car. The passengers sat behind him. Various belongings are also carried on the back. The use of bullock carts for transporting various agricultural products and crops is quite widespread. In rural Bengal, bullock carts have traditionally been used extensively for transportation and freight till recently. However, due to the prevalence of various types of motor vehicles, the use of this relatively slow vehicle has come down a lot.

History :

The history of bullock carts is ancient. People have been using this vehicle since the Neolithic AgeA picture of a bullock cart found in a cave in the foothills of the Alps in France shows that bullock carts existed in the Bronze Age, 3100 years before the birth of ChristArchaeological evidence suggests that bullock carts also existed in the Harappan civilization. Chakaola toys with one axis have also been found from different regions. From these, experts estimate that bullock carts were in vogue in the Indus Basin and the northwestern part of the Indian subcontinent between 1800 and 1500 BC, gradually spreading to the south.

Usage :

Since the dawn of civilization, bullock carts have been an important means of transportation in almost all parts of Asia, Europe and Africa. But later in Western Europe, the use of horse-drawn carriages increased, and so did the use of bullock carts as a means of transportation. Later, with the advent of machine-operated plows or power tillers and various machinery, the tradition of bullock carts in the region has survived only in various folk cultures and fairs based on it.

In many parts of Africa, roads are unsuitable for driving because of the dense forest cover. So there was no concept of bullock cart among the people of these places. But when Dutch colonists began to enter South Africa, in many cases they used bullock carts as a vehicle. So in various popular novels of the nineteenth century, we find references to bullock carts as a means of transportation in South Africa. For example, in this case we have H. Ryder Haggard's famous novel King Solomon's Mines. In this case they make another use of bullock cart popular. When resting at night or in danger, they often rounded up the bullock carts and built a kind of fort to take shelter in it. Of course, we have seen the practice of building such forts using bullock carts or horse-drawn carriages long before that. We learn of the use of bullock carts by the locals to prevent the Mongol invasion of Russia and Eastern Europe in the thirteenth century, led by Batu Khan, the grandson of Genghis Khan. Especially in the Battle of Kalka, the Russians of Kiev built a movable fortress of this type of carriage to resist the Mongol invasion.

In many parts of Eastern Europe and Asia, the use of bullock carts for transportation is still prevalent in rural areasAt one time bullock carts were the main means of transportation in the village.

so i therefore pray & hope that you would be kind enough to like my article then i will share different type of article fir all of you.

Thank you....
