US tech giant Google Reliance Industries (RIL) company Jio Platforms will make cheaper Android phones in India. RIL chairman Mukesh Ambani made the declaration at the company's 43rd AGM. He told us that we will make 4G-5G smartphones unitedly with Google. These smartphones will be established on the Android operating system. Mukesh Ambani said that till nowadays more than 10 cores live phones have been sold in the country, but still feature phone users are waiting for the smartphone to come to them.
Ambani announced, 'We believe that we can build entry-level 4G and 5G smartphones. We can plan a phone that will cost much less than a normal smartphone. Google and Jio together will produce a value-engineered Android-based smartphone operating system. Announcing the 2G free, he said that there will be an attempt to bring 2G feature phone users to the smartphone. Ambani announced that the company has prepared a 5G network, which is the best 5G network in the world. He claimed that this 5G network has completely used home appliances. For this, the help of more than 20 inaugurations has been taken.
Reliance sold a 32.84 % stake in Jio
Ambani also proclaimed a strategic partnership with Google. He said that Google has invested Rs 33,737 crore in Jio, rather on which it will get a 7.7 percent stake. Google is the 13th investor in Jio. Facebook started placing in Jio and so far an investment of Rs 1.52 lakh crore has been made in the company. Facebook clutches the highest 9.9 percent stake in Jio. Lately, Intel Corp and Qualcomm Inc. had invested in Jio. Mukesh announced that with the investment of Google, the raising of capital for Jio platforms has been completed. With this deal, Reliance has sold 32.84% in Jio Platforms Limited.
