Psalm 118:24 says, "This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it."
Hear me, there are things that are a prerogative of God; an example is the creation of day and night. This is purely God's responsibility; the Psalmist acknowledged that. When we identify that something is purely the responsibility of God we should rejoice and be glad when He does it. The opening scripture is exhorting believers in Christ Jesus to show appreciation to God for whatsoever He does; no wonder that in the New Testament He said in everything we should give thanks to God (1 Thessalonians 5:17). When we develop the lifestyle of rejoicing and gladness, God causes all things to work together for our good. He will also be prompt with our prayer request because He knows we will give Him the glory. Beloved, may the heavens respond to your calls and UPGRADE you according to His purpose in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
