I am not looking to generate any kind of disrespect to anyone, it is just my own experience, because the last advertisements that came up when I was browsing were related to what I was talking about in this social network. I spent more than 2 years without using it and in the last 2 weeks I used it a lot and now I find this.

No, Facebook is not a social network. It's something entirely different.

As a matter of fact, Facebook might be one of the most harmful spy networks in the world. It is originally a DARPA (United States military) project named Lifelog, and the platform is designed to collect as much private information about you as possible. This information is then sold or given for free to companies and governments all over the world. There is no saying where it ends up, but it won't always be good.

The Facebook company owns the patents to listen to the microphone of your computer or phone, and to watch you through your camera, even without the light turning on. You won’t notice a thing, while 10.000’s of Facebook employees and partners could be watching you.

When you are a member of the Facebook platform, you agree to this. It is mentioned in the terms and conditions when you sign up, and there is really nothing you can do about it. As a user of Facebook you have given up your rights to privacy. In return you will be allowed to post stuff and talk to people.

But the destruction of your privacy is not the only problem Facebook will cause. The entire platform is censored and the only content allowed on there is what the Facebook staff and their funders agree on. All other content is removed, and dissident voices are not allowed. Plenty of large pages, independent activists and journalists have been removed, creating a platform that is really just a bubble with controlled speech.

Facebook also uses manipulative methods to keep you on the website. When you receive a private message in your inbox, you will hear a sound that is tested to trigger a response. It makes sure you spend as much time as possible on the website.

I believe it is time to leave this platform. And we should all do it at once, to show a clear message. Don't hesitate anymore. Break the enslavement contract.

How to delete your Facebook account right now:

Step 1: Log in to your account.

Step 2 (Optional): Before you delete your account, remove pictures, videos and posts you shared to the platform. Make sure as much data as possible is gone from there.

Step 3: Browse to this page: https://www.facebook.com/help/delete_account

Step 4: Delete your account.

Step 5: All done!

Deactivating your account is NOT the same as deleting!

Don't fall for this trap. Facebook wants to make you deactivate instead of deleting permanently. This means all your data stays on the platform, and you still agree to the terms and conditions. This means you are still a victim and all your data is still being sold. You will not be safe, so make sure you delete.

Some good steps to make sure other victims leave Facebook too:

Step 1: Before you delete your Facebook account, help others to leave. So before you do it, make a post on Facebook announcing that you are going to leave. Inform them about the risks of using this spy network, or the invasive Facebook app. Tell them what new platform you are joining and ask them to come with you.

Step 2: Share this post with others so they can delete their Facebook account fast and easy, or explain to them how to do it.

Step 3: Promote the hashtag or search term #DeleteFacebook and also focus on the search term #Facebook itself. Make sure it becomes trending and inform as many people as possible.

Together we can defeat this dangerous surveillance website.

At this point there is no other option.
