NUMBER 5, 12 STRONG.
12 Strong is a 2018 action war film, directed by Nicolai Fuglsig, and based on Doug Stanton's non-fiction book, Horse Soldiers, which tells the story of U.S. Army Special Forces, sent to Afghanistan immediately after the September 11 attacks. The plot follows Captain Mitch Nelson, who leads a US Special Forces team into Afghanistan, for an extremely dangerous mission. Once there, the soldiers develop an uneasy partnership with the Northern Alliance, to take down the Taliban and its al-Qaida allies. Outgunned and outnumbered, Nelson and his forces face overwhelming odds, in a fight against a ruthless enemy that takes no prisoners. The film is available on hbo max and Netflix, and it has 6.6 ratings on imdb.

It is a 2020 war film directed by Rod Lurie, and based on the 2012 non-fiction book, The Outpost: An Untold Story of
American Valor by Jake Tapper, about the Battle of Kamdesh in the war in Afghanistan. The story follows a small unit of U.S. soldiers, alone at the remote Combat Outpost Keating, which is located deep in the valley of the Hindu kush mountains in Afghanistan, as they
battle an overwhelming force of Taliban fighters, in a coordinated attack. The Battle of Kamdesh, became one of the bloodiest American engagement of the Afghanistan War in 2009, making the Bravo Troop, to become one of the most decorated units of the 19-year conflict.

# NUMBER 3, LONE SURVIVOR.
It is a 2013 biographical war film, based on the eponymous 2007 nonfiction book, by Marcus Luttrell and Patrick Robinson. The story is Set during the war in 2005 Afghanistan, and follows four Navy SEALs, who are deployed on a mission of surveillance, to take out Taliban leader Ahmad Shah. Though spotted by goatherds, the SEALs decide not to kill them. But when one of the Afghans, alerts a group of Taliban fighters to the invaders, a terrible battle ensues, in which the SEALs find themselves, hopelessly outnumbered and outgunned. This action packed movie, is available to watch on Amazon prime video. And the film has 7.5 ratings on imdb.

Fury is a 2014 war film, written and directed by David Ayer, and starring Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman,and Michael Peña. The film is set April 1945, during the final weeks of World War II, when the Allies are making their final push in the European theater. The story follows a battle hardened Army sergeant, named Don Wardaddy Collier, who leads a Sherman tank and a five man crew, as they undertake a deadly mission behind enemy lines. While hopelessly outnumbered, outgunned, and saddled with an inexperienced soldier in their midst, Wardaddy and his men, face overwhelming odds, as they move to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany. The film is available to watch on Netflix and amazon prime video, and it has 7.6 ratings on imdb.

Dunkirk is a 2017 war film, written and directed by Christopher Nolan, and depicts the Dunkirk evacuation of World War II, through the perspectives of the land, sea, and air. The story is set in May 1940, when Germany advanced into France, trapping Allied troops on the beaches of Dunkirk. Under air and ground cover from British and French forces, the troops were slowly and methodically evacuated from the beach, using every serviceable naval and civilian vessel that could be found. At the end of this heroic mission, 330,000 French, British, Belgian and Dutch soldiers were safely evacuated. The film is one of the highest grossing world war 2 film, and if you enjoy war movies with a lot suspense, then this should be your pick. It is available to watch on Netflix and hbo max, with 7.8 ratings on imdb.
