The film rating system by Motion Picture Association (MPA) is used in the US and its territory. This system was introduced in 1968. The rating system basically helps parents understand whether the film is appropriate for their children or not. The system is administered by Classification & Ratings Administration (CARA), an independent division of the MPA.
The MPAA film ratings are as follows.
G - General Audience
People of all ages can enjoy without being offended or uncomfortable.
PG - Parental Guidance Suggested
Contains such materials that parents might find unsuitable for children. Parents urged to give parental guidance.
PG-13 - Parents Strongly Cautioned
Contains such materials that might be inappropriate for children under 13. Parents must be cautious.
R - Restricted
Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian. Parents must know more about the film before taking their children with them.
NC-17 - Adults Only
No one 17 and under admitted. Children must not be admitted.
Other labels
If the producers do not submit their film for a rating, the labels Not Rated (NR) or Unrated (UR) are often used.
When will our Bangladesh improve in terms of making movies, then the story of the movie is not good either. Hollywood is so far ahead due to their advanced technology and proper planning.
