Everybody is faced with situations and problems which they wish to solve. Sometimes, it is very difficult to continue after failing. It becomes an even greater problem when one becomes frustrated and antagonistic because he or she can not succeed in that particular situation. It is heartbreaking sometimes, that one will put in all those efforts and failure will be the result.
Have you ever wondered why some people succeed more even with less effort than you. It's not because they are more intelligent or because they do things diabolical as most of us say. The secret is perseverance, yes, rising even after falling even in the face of bigger consequences. Many great philosophers and men of the past and this present century support this claim with most of their quotes.
Nelson Mandela on one occasion said thus :
"The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall."
The first statement might sound confusing but read it again. The greatest glory in staying alive does not lie in success, that is what it means. The second statement answers the question where does it then lie? In rising every time we fall - persevering. I must say that is success itself.
Even Mark Twain in one of his quotes said that :
“The secret of getting ahead is getting started"
This means that the only way to succeed is to start, to persevere, to continue. He also said that :
"To succeed in life, you need two things: ignorance and confidence."
Without confidence, you can not move forward. Wait, he said ignorance. The most important key is ignorance. This does not mean being dumb or sheepish, rather it means being ignorant of the fact that you have once failed, being ignorant of the consequences and the resultant failure but putting your mind forward. This is the only way to success.
Try again, do not accept defeat. You are the only one who can manage that situation and the only way to do this is to persevere.
