The Importance of a Simple Detox Bath

Everyone goes through a natural detox from time to time.

Whether it be a changes in diet, exercise, vitamins, medication and/or even environment; our bodies are constantly playing ping pong with the elements it's given.

Do you notice how you feel a little funky even after you've been "doing everything right"? Like you've started eating healthier, exercising, generally taking better care of your health but you start feeling groggy or sluggish. That's because your body is DETOXING!

This is a good thing, BUT you need to help the process along in order to feel better.

This is a really simple thing you can do at home with very affordable and accessable ingredients. These items can be found at your local dollar store or Walmart for just a couple of dollars.

Detox Bath

  • 2 Cups Plain Epsom Salt

  • 2 Cups Baking Soda

  • Room temperature Distilled Water for drinking

Draw a HOT (as hot as you can handle without burning yourself) bath with ONLY the Plain Epsom Salt and Baking Soda.

Soak for UP TO 20 Minutes (no longer).

After 20 minutes at most, exit bath and wrap yourself in a towel and rest for at least 15 minutes.

Sip on room temperature Distilled Water for staying purely hydrated during bath and after during 15 min rest period.

After DO NOT USE ANY oils, lotions, etc. after.

I suggest taking the detox bath at night before bed, then shower as normal in the morning (or when you wake).

Take Up To 4 Detox Baths A Week.

If you do not have a bath, use half of the ingredients in a large basin of water that you can fill with hot water using another container like a pot. Then soak your feet using the same instructions.

The Reason This Is Important

When your body goes through detox, your liver and kidneys go through a harder process.

After the toxins are purged from the organs they are released out through the skin. The Detox Bath opens up the pores to help release those toxins from your body altogether.

The reason you do not want to soak for longer than 20 minutes is the toxins can actually absorb back into your system if you soak too long.

And nothing on the skin after because you want your pores to have a full night of "breathing".
