The Bengal Tiger is the national animal of Bangladesh and India. It is commonly seen in Bangladesh and India . It is also found in Nepal , Bhutan , Myanmar and parts of southern Tibet . The Bengal Tiger is the largest subspecies of tiger. According to the Government of Bangladesh, the number of Bengal Tigers in Bangladesh is not more than 450, according to the National Tiger Conservation Authority of India.According to estimates, the current number of Bengal Tigers in India is 1,411 [4] [5] [7] 153-163 in Nepal and 103 in Bhutan .
This species is protected under Schedule 1 of the Wildlife (Conservation and Security) Act, 2012 of Bangladesh . [৮]
Traditionally , the Bengal Tiger is the second largest subspecies after the Siberian tiger . [9] Bengal tiger subspecies P. tigris tigris is the national animal of Bangladesh . On the other hand, the species Panthera tigris is the national animal of India .
Royal Bengal Tiger
India and Bangladesh, the Sundarbans in the world, it can be seen that handsome tiger Royal Bengal Tiger ( in Royal Bengal to Tiger ) is known. Even a few decades ago (perspective 2010), the Royal Bengal Tiger was roaming in almost all parts of Bangladesh. The tiger was also seen in the present Madhupur and Gazipur areas of Dhaka in the fifties ; The last sightings were in Madhupur in 1972 and in Gazipur in 198 AD. There are currently about 3,000 worldwide, more than half of them in the Indian subcontinent. This number is calculated with the number of two living subspecies of the tiger. According to the 2004 tiger census, there are about 450 Royal Bengal Tigers in BangladeshThere are. However, experts estimate that the number is about 200-250. Apart from Bangladesh, they roam in the forests of India, including the Sundarbans, Nepal and Bhutan .
Biology
Physical features
Its skin color is yellow to light orange, and the color of the stripe is dark brown to black; The abdomen is white, and the tail is white with a black ring. A modified tiger species (white tiger) has a dark brown or bright dark stripe on a white body, and some are just white. Black tigers have orange, yellow or white stripes. The skin size of a black tiger, recovered from smugglers, is 259 cm, which is on display at the National Museum of Natural History in New Delhi. Striped black tigers have been reported but no evidence has yet been found.
Physical comparison of tiger and jaguar
The length of a male tiger with a tail is 210-310 cm, while the length of a female tiger is 240-275 cm. [12] The tail measures 85-110 cm, and the neck height is 90-110 cm. The average weight of males is 221.2 kg and females are 139.7 kg.
Tigers playing in Tyavarekoppa
Male tigers in northern India are similar in size to Siberian tigers, with a maximum head length of 332-38 mm. In northern India and Nepal, the average weight of males is 235 kg and females 140 kg. At present, tests on the weight of different tiger species show that on average, the Bengal tigers are larger than the Siberian tigers.
The roar of a Bengal tiger can be heard up to 3 km away.
Body weight
The Bengal Tiger weighs 325 kg (618 feet), and has a body length of 320 cm (130 inches) from head to toe. [14] Many scientists have reported that the Tigers of Nepal and Bhutan's Tirai , Assam, Uttarakhand, and the Bengal Tigers of West Bengal in northern India gradually gained about 228 kg (500 lbs). The average weight of the seven male tigers in Chitwan National Park in the early 1970s was 235 kg (518 lb), ranging from about 200 to 261 kg (441 to 565 lb), and the female tigers averaged 140 kg (310 lb), with a minimum of 118 Weight was 164 kg (256 to 362 lbs). [15] At average weight, their rival tiger is the Amur tiger . [16]
Reliable weights of tigers in the Sundarbans have not been found in any scientific article. Although the forest department maintains a weight record, it is largely unpredictable and unreliable. Length reports show that the length is about 36 cm (144 inches) longer. Most recently, the University of Minnesota advocated for the American Fisheries and Wildlife ServiceResearchers and the Bangladesh Forest Department conducted a study and measured the weight of three tigers in the Sundarbans. Two were caught and sleeping pills were applied to the radio caller and the other was killed at the hands of a local man. The weight of the two female tigers wearing a collar was measured at 150 kg (330 feet), while the weight of the slain tiger was measured using a simple scales. The average weight of the three tigers was 7.8 kg (169 lbs). The older female tiger weighs 75 kg (165 lb) less than the average because it is older and worse off. Counting the teeth of two tigers shows that they were 12-14 years old. The other tiger was a 3-4 year old tiger and it was a habitat changing tiger. The skeletons and body weights of beautiful forest tigers are different from other tigers. Which indicates they have adapted to the mangrove environment. The reason for their small body size and weight is probably the competition for space and the presence of fewer prey.
Extinct
The Sundarbans is the last sanctuary of the Royal Bengal Tiger in Bangladesh. But this animal is very beautiful and its skin is very valuable. So these animals are almost extinct due to poachers. Moreover, deforestation, food shortages and environmental disasters have almost wiped out these animals. Hence the need to stop poaching and increase the protection and number of animals and preserve the natural environment.
Nice one
