"Hanging" hotel Skylodge (heavenly hut), Peru

“Hanging” hotel, opened in 2013, consisting of 4 transparent capsules attached to a mountain cliff, was designed by Ario Ferri, who is also an avid climber, from Carhuaz in Peru. The hotel is located on a cliff at an altitude of about 400 meters, about an hour’s drive from Cusco, the ancient Inca capital, and halfway to the ruins of Machu Picchu. The capsules offer a view of the Holy Valley, the Andes, the Urubamba River and sometimes the train in the valley on the way to Machu Picchu. The hotel is intended for the enjoyment and rest of experienced mountaineers, but also travelers who do not have such ambitions.
