Anyone believe that there is such a thing as fate despite the existence of free will?
Fate exists. Normally, I would not consider human sentinel concepts to be real, but this one is. Fate is anything that is predestined. According to the correct time travel laws, you know that certain events occur in a certain order and that you cannot change them since doing so will result in branch realities.
If you had the ability to time travel, you would be unable to change anything because everything in time is irreversible. You are probably not considering time travel; rather, you are considering a future destination. I've only now decided to link to it. I connected with it since it pertains to time.
Things happen in a definite order and are irreversible. It bears no resemblance to free will. The scientific meaning of fate is the destination of one's future actions. It is not real if you are unable to make your own decisions. Indeed, your decisions and actions shape the future. Technically, fate is determined by your choices that affect future results, which is how fate is defined. Fate is the outcome of future events. Time is eternal since it cannot be altered in any manner, even if time travel is possible, due to the fact that it results in branch realities. It may seem absurd that I bring up time travel, but I do it since it is the only way to travel across time, and because neither method allows for temporal manipulation, what's the point?
I am not implying that your destiny is predetermined to be either evil or good due to your lack of choice. That is, your destination is theoretically predetermined because all of the decisions you make based on your free will, whether good or bad, determine the future. And time cannot be altered, as it is the result of a series of acts and decisions.
Now, if you're a genius and declare, "When I grow up, I'm going to be a lawyer," but that's beside the point; I want to be a doctor! " Ha ha, I just altered my destiny to prove you incorrect. " No, you didn't because you were going to change your mind, and the conclusion would be that you would become a doctor. As a result, because fate is what happens in the future based on what you do now, yes, fate is real and can't be changed because time is involved.
