A novel coronavirus is a new corona virus that has not been previously identified. corona virus is an enveloped single stranded RNA virus. It was temporarily named 2019-n cov''. viruses cannot reproduce on their own. They must invade a call, take over the cells internal machinery to build the parts needed by the virus. It was first identified at wuhan in china 2019 on 31 December. It spread worldwide within a few months, via droplets that enter the eir when somone with the disease coughs sneezes or talks. It spread person to person. Its symptoms are Fever,Cough,Sore,Throat,Shotness of breath similar to Flue symptoms.
Unfortunately there is no vaccine available. No specific treatment or cure patient are given supportive care for symptoms. world Health Organisation recomands the following :
Regularly clean hands with soap and water or alcohol based hand rub
Cover nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing with tissue, sleeve or flexed elbow.
Wear a mask. Mask shouldn’t be touched or handled during use. If the mask gets wet and dirty, it must be changed immediately.
Discard the mask after use and perform hand Hygiene after removal of the mask.
Thoroughly cook meat and eggs.
