What is Astar Network?
Starlay is the lending platform on Astar Network, then what is Astar Network?
Astar Network (previously known as Plasm) is a Build2Earn dApp hub on Polkadot that supports EVM and WASM. Since Polkadot Relay Chain doesn’t support smart contracts, Astar aims to be a multi-chain smart contract platform that supports multiple blockchains. By developing smart contracts on Astar, developers can deploy their products on Polkadot’s ecosystem.
Astar has a feature called dApps staking, which allows developers to earn revenue by developing Apps/infrastructure on Astar. In most blockchains, developers earn income from sales and a bit of grant. However, on Astar, there are more financial opportunities for developers.
Like Dr. Gavin Wood said, Ethereum’s EVM is right now, but WASM is the future, and Astar will support both EVM and WASM. Thus, we believe there will be many more developers in Astar’s ecosystem.
From there, we see the future in Astar Network with many developers in the ecosystem. This is why we risk everything on Astar Network.
Astar Network’s communities are the following, and stay tuned for more information!
