It was a warm summers day in ridgewood, the townspeople were having an end of the summer party. Every year they celebrated that event. Lots of people were attending, music and tons of food.
There will be dancing and drinking in the evening for the adults that wanted to continue the party. Everyone is looking forward to this event because that is how you get to know the newbies that just moved in the town.
Every year there's at least a good 50 people who move away and then 50 new people move in. The townspeople figure its a nice way to introduce yourselves to each other.
One of the new families are the Barton's.
They are a family of 5. Mr.and Mrs. Barton and their three children. Lola who is 21, Brian who is 16 and sally who is 10.
All three are very different and age span is many years apart so they are not close at all. But when someone attacks their family, they pull together instead of apart. Usually that is what happens.
Lola has a mental illness, and was diagnozed with borderline personality disorder and ocd and bi-polar. She has been having a very hard time in her life and has been in and out of institutions.
Sally doesnt understand much about her sisters conditions because she is only 10 years old. All she knows is that lola hasnt been around much.
Brian is just starting to know more about lola and defends her any chance he gets.
He loves both sisters and would do anything for them because they are his blood.
Their parents sat them all down for a family talk. They wanted to fill them in on what their weekend plans would be.
Mrs. Barton became friends with her neighbor and was told about the yearly event. So the whole family will be attending it.
Lola was nervous because of what happened in their last town. She was made fun of and laughed at because she was different. But The Bartons are tired of running away everytime things get rough.
When lola doesn't take her meds properly she becomes very erratic. She loses herself and lashes out at anyone and everyone around her. Sometimes, she can kill someone if not stopped. This is what they have been running away from everytime they get settled in.
Now its time to face up to whatever is in store for them. No running away this time.
It was the afternoon of the townspeople annually party. Everyone was excited, they all went around introducing themselves. Everyone was getting along, even lola was smiling and having fun.
After supper around 8pm all the children and the parents that couldnt get babysitters had to stay home. But the ones that got babysitters attended.
There was lots of music, dancing and drinking.
All of a sudden lola started to feel fainted because someone put something inside her drink. She was screaming and stood on top of a table and was freaking out at everyone.
Nobody had known that she has a mental illness. Some of the older guys were laughing at her.
Lola ran out into the woods and found a knife. Three guys were running after her to help her. But because she was becoming erratic she saw things differently. She thought they were running after her instead of to her. She grabbed out her knife and started slashing the three men. The townspeople were in awe and started screaming, which made lola even more erratic.
Nobody was able to help her because nobody knew what was really wrong with her.
She kept running until she fell near a pit.
Hours later she found herself in a hospital bed with her family all around her.
She looked at them like she didnt know who they were.
She started screaming because in reality she had lost her mind, she really didnt know who her family was.
The Bartons remained living in the same town while lola was put away in an asylum.
Everyone felt bad for lola because, they could have helped her if only they would of known what was wrong with her.
Lola will never get out of the asylum because she was a danger to society.
She killed three men and even though she was mentally ill and even though someone gave her that drug in her drink, she still had to pay for what she had done.
