There is no doubt that digital currency is the next big thing in the technical world. Indeed, it will for sure take time for people to feel comfortable with the technology and infrastructure before they fully understand the use case of Bitcoin Cash.
The idea I have in mind is to use this article to give my understanding of the power and potential of bitcoin cash. However, I will not be talking about the technology behind it or the impressive infrastructure around it. In fact, my job is to make a long story short. That is the story of the winner takes all that we will witness in the few upcoming years. As a technologist, I was always fascinated by the power of the winners takes all in business. To explain, in a new industry let's say for example during the early day of social media we saw a lot of players immerge and take charge of the concept of creating a social media platform that makes communication much easier. These players didn't really have a lot of differences in terms of the web technologies or what is known as the technology stack they were using. Indeed, they used open source technologies to build their network and for sure they innovated to build some great platforms. But, over the years we see the number of social media companies decrease and only few winners immerge. This concept is what is known as the winner takes all effect. This effect can be explained as the dominance of one player in a new market or industry.
Just like social media saw early on, a lot of players battled the net for market share dominance. The same battle is happing in the digital currency world today. However, one thing is for sure that at the end of the battle only few will dominate and others will be left behind. To predict the winner of a battle we might look at history as our teachers and what we learned from the social media battle is that the winners are simple, creative, and scalable applications. In other words, looking at bitcoin cash these attributes are all satisfied without any exceptions. The presence of these attributes doesn't mean that bitcoin cash will be the dominant player in the market of digital currency but it for sure makes it a contender for that title and a strong favorite to win the battle.
