Predjama Castle is wedged into a single block of rock. It was considered impregnable because the owner had built long tunnels and so he could go out undisturbed and refuel, and then return. The interior is a bit bare but you can admire the 4 levels on which it is built. It is located in the central part of Slovenia and I visited it at Easter 2016!

lovely, been there too. hehee. settin up in a castle in a rock is very intelligent move. its protects the castle from so much sun and rain also from invaders.
