Peru 1996, Machu Picchu. The mysterious archaeological site, a UNESCO heritage site, can be reached by cogwheel train from Cuzco through an ups and downs in the sacred valley, until arriving at the Aguas Caliente station. From there a bus takes travelers to the entrance, from which, behind a rock, the whole site appears in its beauty. It is assumed that the city was built around 1400 by the Incas and was subsequently abandoned until its discovery in 1911 by an archaeologist.

Yes, in a whole day you can also go to the top of the mountain, returning to Cuzco in the evening

It is a magical place, lost in inaccessible valleys. From Cuzco there is the old Inca path, it takes many days on foot to get here. There are still many mysteries related to this site
Quite a great work of art. The Incas carried out spectacular works as well as that city that you had the opportunity to visit. I congratulate you for being able to get there and thus share it with us. That site is so beautiful that it causes you to stay there living.
It was my first trip as an adult, without parents. It was a dream that I wanted to realize right away!
