One of the neighbors of Imam Abu Hanifa lived as a day laborer. During the day he would sit in his hut and work in various cottage industries. He used to sing obscene songs and talk nonsense.
In his hai chai, Imam Sahib's deep night prayers, dhikr and meditation were interrupted. He often exhorted her to give up that bad habit.
But he did not listen to it. The Imam necessarily endured everything in silence.
One night he noticed that there was no noise coming from the man's hut. Today, he continued to study worship and thought, but his mind became restless and anxious.
In the morning Imam Sahib went to find him. He heard that the police had arrested the drunken man and detained him in jail.
At that time, Mansur, the Umayyad king, was sitting on the throne of Baghdad.
Imam Sahib strictly avoided the king's court. The king himself used to meet Imam Sahib from time to time.
But today Imam Sahib, anxious over the danger of his poor neighbor, went to the king's court.
The king and his emir Umrah were surprised to see Imam Sahib coming to the court. They seated him with absolute reverence.
He said, “Your Majesty, your people have captured one of my neighbors and put him in jail. I have come to seek his release. "
The king thought for a moment and replied, "Honorable Imam Sahib, for the joy and honor of your presence in my court today, I released all the prisoners, including your neighbor."
Imam Sahib returned home with his neighbor. Day laborers did not touch alcohol after that.
