Some of you may have heard this type of amnesia but personally, I just found this out when I watched the Thailand movie "One Day".

I was surprised that there is this type of memory loss. I read few facts about this.

Transient Global Amnesia or TGA is a temporary loss of memory. When you have this amnesia, your recall of recent events simply disappear, so you can't remember where you are or how you got there in a certain place.

This can be caused by a very heavy activities, migraines, stress and even sex.

But once this happens to you, it will not repeat on you and also, there is no treatment required It goes away on its own within 24 hours.

This type of amnesia usually happens for 1-6 hours only and average is 6 hours. Few cases lasts for up to 24 hours.

The Movie "One Day"

The reason why I wrote about this article is because of this movie.

I found out this movie because my brother saw me watching a Thailand series in Netflix. I told him that the series has a nice story. He saw the lead actress and he told me that she has a movie wherein she had an amnesia for one day which I got curious about.

It was not in Netflix so he downloaded it.

The story is about an IT Guy named Denchai who worked for how many years in a company. He is a typical guy. But the thing is, no one recalls his face at work or in other places. No one finds him attractive. That is why he was still single.

People at work knew him only when they needed him. Mostly when their computer or laptops were not working.

But other than that, he seemed invisible at work.

Until one time, his pretty crush named Nui called him regarding her computer issue. He was able to fixed it.

His long time crush has a boyfriend who was married and the boss of their company. She knew about his status because the guy kept promising that he will marry the girl once he leave his wife which never happened.

He knew almost everything about his crush.

One day, they have a team building in Hokkaido. It was the girls dream to go there because of the Snow Festival. They all joined but since the girls boyfriend was the boss, he was with his wife and son. The girl was hurt while seeing them together.

There was this place in the snow where they can wish and it will come true. The guy wished to have a girlfriend even for one day.

Since Denchai has great crush to Nui, he saw how hurt the girl was. She was not enjoying the trip. When they were about to leave the place, the girl did not leave. She stayed in the hotel so also stayed. He was worried with his crush.

Then she saw the girl went out the hotel and went on skiing. But he noticed that the girl does not know how to skii and she fall down deep. Since does not know how to skii too, he asked for help and they were able to find her. The girl actually planned on killing herself which did not happened.

Nui was sent to the hospital by and the doctor said that the girl has global transient amnesia which will last for 24 hours only. She will not remember anything she did for 1 day.

So Denchai pretended that he was the boyfriend of the girl since it wil only last for a day and since the girl will not remember it the next day.

At first, she cannot believe that he was her boyfriend. But since the boy knew everything about the girl, she also believed.

His wish of having a girl for one day came true. His crush became his girlfriend by accident for one day. They went on dates while they were in Hokkaido. He made the girls wishes come true. He saw how happy the girl was.

When it was night, the boy told the truth that he was not his real boyfriend. The girl was mad. The guy explained.

When they went back, everything goes back to normal. The girls memory came back. He does not remember that she went to Hokkaido and became the guys boyfriend.

But when she received a video of her, she found out that she went to Hokkaido and she saw how happy she was. She broke up with his married boyfriend.

The guy and the girl did not end up together. But it was happy to know that the guys wish came true to have a girlfriend for one day and it was his dream girl.

My Final Say

This type of amnesia is very rare but if you happen to have this, 1 day is the longest. We will not remember what happened to the time we had amnesia. All we need is a lot of care.
