First of all, Freddie is not human. He is a cat. Do you also have cats?
My family are pet lovers especially my mother. I love to have them but not to take care of them. We usually have dogs before because the place we live have big space for pets. But now, we take care of cats only when we moved house.
The reason why we cannot have dogs is because our house is small that we don't have enough space for them. It's just ok if they are puppies but if they become dogs, it would be harder for a space.
Then a neighbor gave us a kitten. Our reason at first was because of the rats at home. They were all gone because of the kitten and when it became cats.
How It All Started
My mother loves pets the most. We take care of pets because of her. Her patience is long enough compared to us when it comes to feeding the cats, even trying to make them take a bath or playing with them. We also have birds before but because I gave birth to my son and the feathers might get inside the house near the baby, we just gave it to our relatives to avoid any diseases.
The previous cats we have are females so they gave birth most of the time. But we can't have them all so we gave them to neighbors too until the cat we took care died.
Then our neighbor gave us a kitten. It has breed and it was male this time. We we're thinking of unique names for him. I planned on naming him "Blackie" since is color is pure white. Totally opposite from its color.
But my father called him as "Freddie" which became familiar to all even our neighbors. He was so cute when given to us. He is so white and the only difference to normal cat is that his tail is rounded at the end which is like a cotton ball.
Its eyes is colored white at day but turned red at night. But we can't keep him inside the house all the time. Freddie still wants to go out and play with other cats. So we just let him free if he wants to play outside because he knows how to comes back when he is hungry, thirsty or when simply wants to play with us and rest.
His Talent
Freddie loves sleeping. This is I think his greatest talent. He can sleep wherever or whatever position he wants.
We don't let him in the living room during sleeping time because we sleep there. And when he sees us sleeping, he will sit beside us and sleep. He can sleep easily especially when the aircon is turned on. We just laughed at him in any position he wants.
When he is hungry, he knows where to get his food. We bought him cat food and put it in an empty ice cream container. He tries to open the cover by biting it harder and he can open it if its not tightly covered.
His Sweetness
Cats are pure sweet. I can see in the videos where you can see them cuddling their fur parents They were treated like babies especially those who doesn't have children yet and for others, they are additional children to the family.
When we woke up in the morning and open the door, Freddie will come in and lies beside me, my son or my niece. He is just beside us and after a minute or 2, you can see him sleeping in funny positions.
I remember when my mother was still alive, she always touches the cat and she even tried cutting the nails but it was unsuccessful because he escaped and attempting to bite my mother.
For any reason, if my mom passed on his way, he will try to scratch my mother. It happened many times which he did not do to us. Maybe its his way of cuddling and being sweet to my mom.
I remember when my mom died, Freddie was roaming around the house. You can see that he looks sad as if he was crying. Then he went to my mothers room and we thought that he was looking for her. I almost want to cry during that moment because maybe he missed my mom. He missed being cuddled.
But my nephews and nieces even my son are close to my cat but since he was too big now compared when he was just a kitten, ita hard for them to carry him especially my son.
Short Trivia
I often see Freddie kneading my son's monkey stuff toy. I though maybe he likes the toy because its a monkey. But he also kneads on our pillows and blankets.
Then I found out that it's soothing and relaxing for cats whenever they knead on soft things or stuffs. But these mannerisms doesn't apply to all cats.
My Final Say
If given a chance, I also want to take care of dogs starting from being a puppy. I admire big dogs like German Shepherd, Beagle anf Great Dane because I've read that they are much sweeter compared to small dogs. But first, we need to have a big space at home for them.
