Is a meal usually made from rice grains, a healthy breakfast indeed.
Ingredients
A cup of rice
Water
Salt
Ground Pepper
Garlic
Ginger
And of course the malunggay leaves
Preparation
Wash the rice, put it in a pot add water, mince garlic, and slice ginger ( I don't sauté this type of porridge that I cook recently, I just choose the traditional way, although sometimes I sauté with added onions, but in this recipe, onion is not included).
Put it on an over and let it boil for 30 minutes. (Don't forget to stir it occasionally to prevent it from sticking) add salt a bit until it reaches your desire flavor, add ground pepper. Lessen the fire and let it just simmer for about 10 minutes. ( Occasionally stir it to avoid it from sticking )
Then last add the malunggay leaves, let it simmer for another 5 to 10 minutes until the malunggay leaves are cooked. ( Occasionally stir it to avoid it from sticking).
Put the flame off, and let it simmer within 5 minutes.
Serve it with calamansi, you can also add ground pepper and red chillies if you desire.
