Coffee preservation
‘Coffee beans’ can retain flavor and quality longer than powdered coffee. So if it is possible to make coffee ‘bean powder’ every time you make coffee, it is better to buy it.
And since air is the main cause of coffee spoilage, it should be kept in an airtight container.
However, in order to store for a long time, it is not enough to have an airtight container, the inside of the container should be completely airless or 'vacuum'.
It should also be kept away from heat and sunlight.
Coffee cannot be refrigerated. This is because the smell of all other raw and cooked foods in the fridge will mix with the coffee and ruin its taste and aroma. As well as refrigerating, the natural ‘moisture’ of coffee will dry out, which will ruin the taste of coffee more quickly.
Coffee can be stored in a freezer or deep freezer. That's why you have to take the whole bag of coffee in a 'ziplock' bag. Take out all the air from inside and keep it in the freezer. When using again, wait until the ice is completely melted.
However, keep in mind that this coffee can not be refrigerated again, because it will lose the taste and quality of coffee.
Preserve prepared coffee
If you want to keep the coffee hot for a long time, you have to use a 'coffee maker' or a flask. If you put it in the oven, it will burn. If you heat it again and again, the coffee will become stronger.
The prepared ‘cold coffee’ can be poured into a covered pot and kept in the fridge for three to four days.
