Bangladesh is my country. It is my birth place and I live in this country with my parents. Bangladesh is in South Asia situated on the shore of the Bay of Bengal. The Bay of Bengal is to the south and the other three sides of our country are surrounded by India sharing a bit of the southeast border with Myanma. On December 16, 1971 Bangladesh emerged as an independent country in the world map.
The total land area of our country is about 1,47,570 square kilometres. The population of our country is about 160 millions. Almost all the people of our country speak Bangla as first language. English is also used widely. About 90% population is the Muslims and the rest are the Hindus, the Buddhists and the Christians.
Bangladesh is mainly an agriculture country. Different kinds of crops are grown here abundantly. Various types of fruits, flowers and vegetables are available in our country. Garments products of our country are famous in the whole world. Bangladesh has a tropical monsoon type climate. Bangladesh is a land of six seasons.
All this season give our motherland an uncommon scenic beauty and novelty. Each season has its won features and characterestics - its special crops, vegetables , fruits and flowers. Our country has been adorned generously with a great number of rivers. These rivers have integral relationship with our life and economy.
There are some special places full of scenic beauty in Bangladesh. Cox’s Bazar in one of them, which is the longest sea beach in the world. Kuakata, Rangamati, the hilly regions, tea gardens are some places of natural beauties which cannot be described in words. A great variety of wildlife including the world famous Royal Bengal Tigers, the spotted deer, the estuarine crocodiles and millions of bird are found everywhere in this green country.
Our country is developing rapidly. Women folk have been joining in every sector of the country and contributing to our national economy. Bangladesh is now a middle income country and has already fixed its target of achieving "Digital Bangladesh." Its also being technologically developed rapidly.
Our country has some glorious history like the Language Movement of 1952 and the Liberatiin War of 1971 through which Bangladesh is now an independent country.
The natural beauties of this country are beyond description. I am very much proud of my country.
