Shame can be Reminder
Do you feel that you are a shy person?
Basically there are many things that can be a factor that makes someone embarrassed. It can be internal as well as external. A person may have a genetic predisposition to be shy but that does not mean this is entirely influenced by internal factors. The environment also greatly influences a person's tendency to be shy.
Usually, a person becomes shy because he doesn't feel accepted or part of a certain group. When a person feels that way, he or she may act more uncomfortable, afraid, or anxious about acting or interacting in social groups. Everyone must have felt uncomfortable when in certain environments, and then may feel more free to express themselves in different groups.
It is often assumed that being shy has a negative effect on a person. However, in sufficient levels, we actually need shame and even benefit. Shame serves as a reminder for us to be more considerate of what we want to say or do.
Being a shy person is usually considered to be more friendly and less intimidating to other people, so there is a lot to learn from the introductions that occur. You may feel that greeting people first is a difficult thing to do, but you can also make the most of every opportunity that comes to you first. . After that you can start learning little by little to be comfortable in conversation or even voice your opinions.
That doesn't mean being shy, you should always reward yourself for new opportunities that you can actually get. Sometimes people may use this as a shield to stay in their comfort zone. Not everyone has to be good at socializing, really. You just need to make sure that you still feel accepted at least in a social group. Maybe friendships at work, in society, or maybe in your career as an adult.
Just focus on small exercises that you can do every day. For example, trying to greet a friend in the morning or daring to ask questions when you don't understand when joining the conversation. Shy people may not be very bright/famous around us, but this is what keeps our world in balance. Make sure there is always someone to listen when someone else might be busy talking. After you can listen well, in the future you can also start learning to slowly express what you are experiencing and feeling. So don't be disappointed or too nervous just because you're shy. Okay?
