Dua Yunus importance and virtue
There is no god but You, Glory be to You, for you are one of the wrongdoers.
La ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minaj jalimin.
There is no god but you. I declare your holiness. Of course I am a sinner. -Surah Al-Ambiya: 6
Fazilatah
A. In this verse, Allah has said, I have granted the prayer of Prophet Yunus. I have freed him from sorrow. In the same way, the believers who recite this prayer, I will save them from various calamities. -Surah Al-Ambiya: 6
B. Hazrat Nabi Karim (peace be upon him) has said that whoever prays in the language of Hazrat Yunus (peace be upon him), whatever problem he may have, Allah will respond to his call. -Tirmizi: 3505
C. Hazrat Rasulullah (SAW) further said, the prayer of my brother Yunus is very beautiful. In the first part there is Kalimaye Tayyiba. In the middle part there is tasbih. And in the last part there is a confession of guilt. Any worried, sad, endangered person will recite this prayer three times a day and Allah will respond to his call. -Kanjul Ummal: 3428
D. Hazrat Sa'd Ibn Abi Okkas The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) narrated from Marfu that Hazrat Yunus (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) had a prayer while he was in the belly of a fish, La-ilaha illallah. If a Muslim recites this prayer in any need and calls on his Lord, then Allah Ta'ala will surely respond to his call. [Tirmidhi-3505, Sunan Kabura-10492, Musnad Ahmad-142 and Ruhul Maani-8/109]
E. Hazrat Ibn Abi Hatem said. If any person imitates Yunus in his prayers, his prayers are accepted. Because at the end of this verse Allah Ta'ala says, that is, this is how I set the believers free.
F. Ibn Jarir Tabari said. A Marfu narrates in a hadith that Allah has a name, the name by which one prays is accepted, and if something is asked for in the name of this name, it is given, that is Yunus in the prayer.
G. Hazrat Sa'd Ibn Abi Waqqas Said, I asked, O Messenger of Allah! Is this prayer a feature of Hazrat Yunus (as) or for all Muslims? The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Have you not read?
H. Hazrat Ibn Abi Hatim said. Hazrat Qasim narrated from Ibn Sa'd, he said, I am Hasan Basri. Who asked which is Azam in the name of Allah, the name by which the supplication is accepted and if anything is given? He replied, nephew! Have you not read this word of God? Then he recited these two verses and said, "This is Isme Azam, by which the supplication is accepted when one prays and if something is asked, it is given." [Tafsir Ibn Kathir: 3 / 395-396]
I. According to a hadith, if a Muslim recites this verse forty times while he is ill, he will get the reward of forty martyrs if he dies of that illness. And when he recovers, all his sins will be forgiven. [Hisne Hasin-241]
Arabic Doa: Recite it once. There is no god but you, Subhanakan. Bengali Meaning: There is no deity worthy of worship except You. You are pure, surely I was one of the wrongdoers. [Surah Ambiya-6]
