He might already be in his 60s but an old man in Taiwan has gone viral as he earned praise from netizens because he still works as delivery rider despite his age.
A passerby was surprised to see an old man wearing a FoodPanda uniform passing by. At first, the passerby thought the old was just using his son’s uniform but it was soon clear that he is the FoodPanda rider as he goes to his motorcycle.
What’s even sadder is that it was already late at night when the passerby saw the old man yet the latter was clearly still on duty. Taking pity on his plight but also expressing admiration for this old man’s determination to have a job amid the COVID-19 crisis, the passerby shared his photos on social media.
However, some netizens hoped that FoodPanda would give him a schedule during daytime as it would surely be harder for him to work during the night. His determination impressed netizens, with many hoping he could also find a better job that wouldn’t require him to do a lot of driving.
