Evolution and distortion carry two different words and different meanings. We know that society, language and even any subject is not eternal. Everything changes or evolves as the age changes. And it is acceptable. Such as Bengali language. He was never in the same place. After its origin, it has reached a stage through evolution in various ways which we now use as pure written or spoken language. The history of its origin and evolution is detailed and extensive. At the same time it was very important because the whole process was very positive and acceptable. At the beginning we did not know briefly about the origin and evolution of Bengali language -

Bengali originated from the Indo-European language group. Shatam and Kentum are two branches of the Indo-European language dynasty. The Aryan language originated from the hundredth branch. The name of the scripture of the Aryans is Veda. The language of the Vedas is called Vedic language. It is a language of ancient Indian literature. In the seventh century, Panini made some changes to the language and provided specific formulas. This modified form of his reformed Vedic language is called Sanskrit (which has been reformed). When the Aryans patronized this Sanskrit language, it spread all over India. We know that Sanskrit language is serious, formal and difficult to pronounce for the public. So some changes were made in Sanskrit and similar words, which brought some relaxation in the strict rules of Sanskrit. The resulting form is called Pali language. The Pali language has become more varied and suitable for public use. Prakrit language was created as a result of the combination of non-Aryan languages. Prakrit language as a spoken language spread in different parts of India. As a result, several regional forms and dialects were observed. E.g.

1 | The Magadhi, Prakrit language prevalent in Eastern India was derived from the Eastern corruption and from that corruption Magahi, Maithili and Bhojpuri are the three Bihari languages and

2 | Bengali, Assamese and Oriya are called twin sisters in Bengali. On the other hand,

3 | Hindi and other Indo-Aryan languages originated from the Shourseni dialect of the West.

Although it has been said above that the Bengali language originated from Gauri's Prakrit, not all the scholars could agree on this point. Sir George Grierson has given the doctrine that Bengali language originated from Magadhi Prakrit. Dr. Sunitikumar Chatterjee has supported this view. But Dr. Shahidullah has a different opinion. He said that Bengali language originated from Gauri's Prakrit. Reviewing this, we can understand that the creation of Bengali language started 5-6 thousand years ago. When different languages of Indo-European language dynasty were prevalent in different parts of Europe and Asia. Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah thinks that the Bengali language took its present form around 650 AD. According to Sunitikumar Chattopadhyay and Prabodh Chandra Bagchi, the Bengali language took its present form between the tenth and twelfth centuries AD (950-1200).

The present vocabulary of Bengali language started its journey with a small number of words in the early days of Bengali language. However, after coming in contact with different languages, this collection has increased a lot. With the arrival of the Turks in Bangladesh and the establishment of Muslim rule, many Arabic and Persian words gradually entered Bengal and became Bengal's own property. This was followed by English. During the British rule many words of their own literature and culture entered Bengali language. The Bengali language has adopted the words of those languages. In this way, the scholars have divided the collection of words in Bengali into several parts. E.g.

. The same. 2. Theory. 3. Half the same. 4. Indigenous words. 5. Foreign words.

This was a brief history of the origin and evolution of the Bengali language. The present acceptable modern Bengali language is the result of this evolution. Evolution is a normal process. Just as nothing is static, so language is not static, but evolves and becomes perfect. But that never means distortion. And perversion is never desirable.

Now let's talk about the distortion of Bengali language-

The history of distortion of Bengali language is being made at present. As we study now, we can learn how the Bengali language evolved, maybe the new generation will read in the near future how the Bengali language was distorted in the twentieth or twenty-first century. And this is the biggest fear. Because, Bengali language has all the necessary juices and nobility. This language is sweet, its history and development is significant. As much as it was necessary to accept, it has been accepted or will continue to be accepted in the future, but it is very important to prevent distortion. In the context of the twentieth century, in the context of the distortion of the Bengali language, the first thing that comes to mind is the pronunciation of some FM radios and the way they speak. There are exceptions, of course, but in most cases we notice an unacceptable accent. They are pronouncing Bengali in the style of English words. For example, "Friend, how are you all?" You must be Chilll. Josss. Let's have a coool chat today. fun hubbe, chilll hubbe. There will be songs, there will be arguments. I was thinking that today I will play Amra Majar Majar. Such as Tagore music. Make me call you, I will definitely receive your calls and Facebook live but you can comment. I will definitely try to read. ”

At what stage will we put such a conversation? Of course at the stage of distortion. Bengalis have respect for different languages, be it English, Hindi, Persian or any other language. Any language can be spoken clearly. But why all together in the same sentence? Saying a sentence half Bengali, some English, some Hindi did not show proper respect to any language. Rather, every language was insulted. Also, if the Bengali language is pronounced like English, the juice and uniqueness of the Bengali language disappears. Also, some unwanted words like Jossss, Chilll are never appropriate in the mouths of conversationalists.

A talker will be the one who speaks fast but will be able to pronounce every word correctly. When you speak Bengali, speak correctly. When you speak English, you will be able to speak a whole sentence frankly. As much as he has knowledge of language, he will also have mastered the beauty of language application. Only then will he be different from other ordinary people and be qualified to be a talker. And at least they will not have the shameful fear of distorting the language in their mouths because the present young society is greatly influenced by FM radio and talkers.

Then in the case of dramas - in the nineteenth century, parents used to give time to their sons and daughters to watch dramas. Because the dialogue, language, pronunciation, speaking style of the play at that time was so excellent that the parents wanted the children to learn the language from there. Make it a habit to speak in a beautiful way. But most of the dialogues and manuscripts that are being made in the drama at present are not aristocratic, not standard but low quality.

Aristocratic, not standard but inferior. A lot of it is perverted like- “Mamma, take good jute. Ma'am, ma'am, I'm in the middle of nowhere. " These are not regional languages, but distorted languages. Subject to the story, the regional language is certainly acceptable but not a distorted language. This kind of word choice is a serious threat to society and language. Because mass media or drama is supposed to be a means of social reform. These mediums greatly affect people. Each drama or program is not just entertainment but a message to the society. If that message is misplaced, it can be frightening, the effects of which we see in today's society. Earlier we could separate the children of educated or elite families by using rituals. But now most of the children in the young society have adopted this perverted conversation. The whole effect of this media. The power of the media is so strong. If we ask questions about all these, the possible answer may come - "We present the picture of the society in the play." But the reality should be the opposite, that is, the policy should be to change the image by reforming the society through the context and dialogue of the drama.Speaking of social media, the latest application of the culture that is gaining ground from some dramas or some FM radio is on social media like Facebook, Twitter etc. Here the young society has engaged in one of the least uses of language. What we call satire "Bangla". That is, the habit of writing Bangla in English letters. Suppose- someone wanted to say it was beautiful. That will say> Nice is done> Someone will write> Nice hoyeche Someone again> Nayes hoasa. In this way, you will see the whole timeline of Facebook - how distorted and unacceptable, everything seems tasteless. If you feel comfortable to write in English, the whole is in English, and if not, where is the compulsion to write in Bengali? Why Bengali in English script is also misspelledIn this way, where is the spoken and written form of Bengali language going today? Imagine for a second you were transposed into the karmic driven world of Earl.

So it is very important for the media, FM radio, educated people of Facebook, as well as other media that have an impact on the society to be aware of them. Otherwise, the shameful history of distortion of the Bengali language that will be created will assert itself with the pride of the history of the origin and evolution of the Bengali language.
