In 21th February , 1952 The largest language movement in history of bengali. After the separation of India and Pakistan, East Bengal was ruled by Pakistani army. At that time the pakistani army started various atrocities on East Bengal. They wanted to snatched our mother tongue Bengali. They wanted to impose their Urdu language on the Bengalis and they wanted to make urdu to their state language.

But damal boys of bengoli did not except it. They agitated against Pakistan for mother tongue Bengal. they made movement on the streets. To quell the Pakistani movement, they launched a surprise attack on the protesting students.

Innumerable damal boys of Bengal were killed by this attack. One of them is Salam, Rafiq, Barkat, Jabbar and many more. They were martyred for language. They were martyred in a movement demanding to make Bengali the state language. The streets are stained with their blood. After the movement UNESCO declared Bangla is the mother tongue of Bengali.

21th February is our mother language day. We celebrate this day in memory of millions of martyrs. If they had not been martyred in this day, we might have lost our mother tongue Bengali. We respect all the martyrs.
