Once upon a time our locality was flooded with school buses plying on either side of the roads.. The bustling of buses starts at 6.30 a.m.. Children of all ages from Kindergarten to Higher secondary were the traveller's. Some of them used to keep the arrival of bus timing as there timing to start any of their chores. No wonder those are the most beautiful days. The arrival of the school buses with cheerful children is itself an energy for the spectator. Watching them go happily to school are the besr moments.
The very best days are spent in schools. With quite a lot of good friends, bunking classes, having good time with friends, everytime being in the wanted list of teachers, getting punished for not getting your work done etc. .. to be truthful they were mind blowing days . A careless life with no responsibility. A day dreaming life. Always waiting for a chance to have fun with friends.
But for the past two years things have changed a lot. Children are confined to their room. The emergence of deadly virus has put a sad halt in the school and college going children. Not knowing the outcome of their future the fruitful days in school and colleges are lost . The most affected are the little ones who never got a chance to know what a school is like, what does teachers mean and missing friends of their look alike. Secondly its the final year students who are to step out of school and colleges to face the new world.
There was a time when children want to stay away from school. Who makes excuses to get themselves absent from Schools and Colleges. But now its the other way round. They are waiting impatiently to just reach the college at the earliest. Sick of staying home they are waiting for a favorable response from the government.
Let's pray that each and every one of us overcome this pandemic period. And let the safe journey of student's continue........
Well for the meantime you have more time with your family. It's possible the lockdowns will continue for one or two more years. Who knows when people will stop being stubborn?
