For the construction and development of any society, where many experts play a role in their respective fields, the scholars also play their part in this regard.

For the completion of a society, where it is necessary to have good doctors, engineers, industrialists, traders and farmers, it is also necessary to have scholars to complete the society.

Certainly, knowledge is a great gift of God Almighty and it distinguishes man from other human beings and is a great cause for the superiority of one creature over another.

Allah (swt) has narrated in the Holy Qur'an the incident of Adam (sws) that Allah (swt) had given him the knowledge of the names of all things.

When the angels were asked about the names of these things, they did not show ignorance.

Allah Almighty narrates this incident in verses 31 to 33 of Surah Baqarah as follows: “And He taught Adam all the names (whatever He willed) and then presented them to the angels.

The names of these things, if you are truthful.

They said: Glory be to Thee, we have no knowledge but that which Thou hast taught us.

Surely Thou art the Knowing, the Wise.

He said: O Adam! Tell them their names. When He revealed to them their names, He said: Did I not say to you: Surely I know the unseen and the heavens and

Of the earth and I know what you reveal and what you conceal. ”

When the virtue of Adam (peace be upon him) was proved, Allah (swt) ordered the angels to bow before him.

If Iblis did not acknowledge the virtue of Hazrat Adam (PBUH), then he was declared as the dargah of Dargah till the Day of Judgment.

In the Qur'an, Allah Almighty has also narrated the story of Hazrat Dawood and Hazrat Sulaiman (as) that Allah had blessed them with the blessing of knowledge.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

''.

From this blessed verse it is clear that Allah (swt) distinguishes the learned people from other people because of their knowledge and the Prophets (sws) are the most distinguished beings in the universe in the sense that they directly impart knowledge to Allah (swt).Obtained from

Allah Almighty has made it clear in many places in the Qur'an that those who have knowledge have higher ranks than other people.

Allah, the Exalted, says in verse 11 of Surah Al-Mujadilah:

Similarly, Allah (swt) has mentioned in verse 9 of Surah Az-Zumar that those who know and those who do not know cannot be equal.

He said, "Can those (people) who have knowledge and those (people) who do not have knowledge be equal?"

From all these blessed verses it is clear that Allah Almighty has raised the ranks of the learned because of their knowledge.

While Allah Almighty has distinguished the scholars by bestowing the blessings of knowledge, He has also imposed on the scholars many responsibilities which must be fulfilled by the scholars.

Following are some of the important responsibilities that come to mind after studying the Qur'an and Sunnah.

Practicing knowledge The first responsibility of the scholars is to practice knowledge.

Allah (swt) has declared in the Qur'an that it is very wrong for a person to advise others to do something which he does not do.

In verses 2 to 3 of Surah Saf, it is said, “O you who believe, why do you say (that) which you (yourself) do not do?

(This) is a great thing in the sight of Allah in terms of anger that you say (that) which you do not do.

Similarly, Allah Almighty mentioned in verse 44 of Surah Baqara that it is a very wrong attitude to enjoin good on people and not to do it oneself.

So he said, "Do you enjoin good on people and do you forget yourself?"

Even though you recite the Book, "Do you not understand?"

Allaah mentions inactive Jewish scholars in the Qur'aan and makes it clear that their example is like a donkey loaded with books.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

Evil is the likeness of the people who reject the communications of Allah, and Allah does not guide the unjust people.

2.

Dissemination of knowledge The religious scholar also has a responsibility to disseminate knowledge and not to try to conceal the knowledge he has.

Allah Almighty has made a promise to such scholars who hide their knowledge.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

In the book, "They are the ones who are cursed by Allah and those who curse are cursed."

3.

Avoiding the confusion of truth and falsehood It is the responsibility of the scholars to state the truth without any exaggeration and to avoid the confusion of truth and falsehood.

Allah the Almighty says in verse 42 of Surah Baqarah:

4.

Avoiding Hypocrisy The cleric should also avoid hypocrisy while inviting people to the religion of Allah (swt) because hypocrisy destroys all human deeds.

An important hadith in this regard is as follows: In Sahih Muslim, it is narrated from Abu Hurayrah that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say: On the Day of Resurrection, the first person to be judged will be the one who was martyred.

It will be presented.

Allah Almighty will make him recognize His (bestowed) blessing and He will recognize it.

God will ask, "What did you do with this blessing?"

He will say, "I fought in your way until I was martyred."

He will say, "You lied. You fought to be told that this (person) is alive."

And that is said, then the command will be given about it, then the man will be dragged on his face till he is thrown into the fire, and the man who reads knowledge and recites the Qur'an,

Will be presented.

(Allah Almighty) will make him recognize His blessings, He will recognize him, Allah will say: What have you done with these blessings?

He will say, "I have read and taught knowledge and recited the Qur'an for you." He will say, "You have lied.

It should be said that it is Qari, it was said, then an order will be given about it, it will be dragged on its face till it is thrown into the fire.

And the man on whom Allah has expanded and given him all kinds of wealth, he will be brought.

Allah Almighty will make him recognize His blessings, he will recognize.

Allah will say: What have you done to them?

He will say, "I have not left any path in which you like to spend money, but I have spent in every such way."

He (Allah) will say: You have told a lie. You did it (all) so that it may be said: This is generous. That is what has been said.

Then it will be thrown into the fire.

5.

Avoiding Greed and Fear It is also the responsibility of the clergy to continue to communicate the truth without being influenced by the pressures and incentives of the powerful and wealthy people and to bear the difficulties in this regard with a smile.

The cleric who does this pays his due.

May God bless all the scholars to fulfill their responsibilities properly, Amen
