Help others
So a while back I read an amazing book about building resilience from the harsh realities of life. It was recommended by my therapist, which was one of the best books I have ever read. I had promised that I was going to go over the book in more detail but I had put it off for a long time. I had recently spoken with someone about past trauma and she told me that she has a hard time with toxic people in the past who continue to haunt her with memories. I realize that I had let myself become dominated by my traumatizing past and it has pushed whatever joy I had out of me. I feel that it is time to take control of myself again and start going over the book again in more detail.
This book has four different types of resilience: Relational, Street, Resource, and Rock Bottom resilience. The first type of resilience that I will go over is Relational Resilience. There are seven chapters that cover the topic of Relational Resilience. The definition of Relational Resilience is the ability and motivation to put effort into life because of the dependency on people who are counting on you. This could mean more than just family and friends but also people with who you interact and who depend on you for their own motivation and support. When I mentioned that I was taking some time off for myself, a lot of people have voiced their support for me to get better because they enjoy my content so much. Now, I want to make regular posts because I know that there are people who want to listen to what I have to say. There is also a special friend here that is always wanting me to make sure that I am doing fine. This is someone who not only cares so much for me but is also dependent on me to keep our friendship strong. It is the reason why I need to continue to honor the people who are close to me for their companionship. In the next post, I will go over the first chapter and first of the seven parts of Relational Resilience. In each and every post of every chapter I go over, I want to share a link to the book which I have bought the book from. This is an affiliate link, which means that if someone purchased a book from the website using my link below I will receive a small compensation as a token of gratitude. It also supports the author who made the effort to write this book to help millions of people who struggle with their own personal problems. The link leads to the physical copy of the book, but there are other reading options as well such as audio or digital:
