Tanks are expensive and unprofitable in modern warfare

Tanks in modern warfare are ineffective. Since the cost of the tank is high. And it takes a lot of time to produce a combat vehicle. And on the battlefield, the tank lives for several minutes or hours. And this is a huge financial loss. In addition, tanks need to be stored somewhere. And it takes up a lot of space. And how much fuel does it take to fill a tank? And it needs to be serviced, to keep the equipment in working condition. It's all very expensive.

The modern world prefers to spend money on rockets and planes. They also use anti-tank weapons, which are much more effective than the tanks themselves. This is logical. Why build tanks when you can buy missiles and they take up much less space.

Of course, it is better to resolve issues at the negotiating table. But the war in Ukraine is a clear example that diplomacy cannot always resolve the issue between two states. But I would not call it a war between Russia and Ukraine. I believe that this is a war between Vladimir Putin and Ukraine.
