Why face mask works?

SARS-CoV 2 can be transmitted by respiratory droplets when people speak, sneeze or cough.

If this droplets lands on your mouth and nosed and enterdled the lungs, the person can contract the virus.

In this case, the mask becomes a physical barrier that catches these droplets and prevents spreading in the surrounding air.

Mask is important because mostly person who are infected are asymptomatic.

A study shows in Boston with a growing cases of covid19 shows a decrease in cases after imolementing the universal mask policy.
