In view of the fact that children perceive and

interact with the world using different senses,

it is essential for early years practitioners to

use the methods which provide children with

an opportunity to learn through these senses. Play is especially effective ffor

learning because play evokes positive feelings

in children and thus motivates them to learn. It is rather difficult

to understand what constitutes play within an

early years setting because educators and

researchers cannot agree on whether to

consider structured play. On reflection of the game and overall activity

realised that it can take a very long time to

connect with a child with adhd. Also, that the

child is easily frustrated when they found it

hard to understand something. I, therefore

thought the snakes and ladders game was an

easy game for Paul to understand and follow.

Clear and basic instructions and information

are best for Paul. Being patient is also very

important when working with children with

adhd. Positive reinforcement is also

extremely important not only for a child with

special needs but for all children. The child's

best interest and wellbeing are the most

important factors when helping and caring for

and them.

Play-based learning is an inquiry-based

curriculum in which children are motivated to

explore, investigate and create new things

with their imagination and ideas. By creativity

we mean the art of creating something using

imagination but where imagination is the set

of ideas that can be unreal also. For instance, children in the

classroom may be playing pretend play in

which they imagine themselves as different

characters and they create a play by their

imagination. In a play-based approach,

children are encouraged for free play and

children use their imagination to create

different ideas in various areas. Every child deserves the opportunity to

develop their unique potential, as a children

educator, it is important we provide them the

opportunity to explore and develop through

play. Play sets the foundation for the

development of social, cognitive and

emotional knowledge and skills. Through play,

children learn to make connections with their

peers, and to share, negotiate, work as a team

and resolve conflicts, as well as learn self-

advocacy skills. Children also learn leadership

skills through play. Play is a natural tool that

children use to build creativity, for example

through acting fantasy heroes.

early years practitioners are not allowed to

interfere into children's play. In this regard,

children learn to develop decision-making

skills, independent thinking, and confidence

through outdoor play activities. Many

contemporary early years settings are

organised, drawing on Montessori's ideas of

structured outdoor play environment. A

social reformer who worked with children

from poor families, significantly highlighted

the value of outdoor play. In the viewpoint of McMillan, outdoor

play is essential for the healthy development

of children. She especially emphasised such

aspects of outdoor play as fresh air and

movement. It will stimulate their brain connections, it will

build on their early cognitive development, it

will help with problem solving skills, and will

build the child's self-esteem up and it will also

build their self-confidence up. Most of all it will

build their critical thinking skills up. One con of

this type of play is safety for the child. Making

sure, that the area is safe for exploratory play,

allowing the child to feel safe in the area of

play. Especially when the play is outside.

When teachers are introducing exploratory

play to students, they need to make sure that

the play will stimulate the children's interest

and by doing that they will need to provide

activities that include sensory involvement.

Problem Savings activities are to enhance the

children's thinking and learning, so of the best

problems to give the students are multi-

sensory, because they allow the students to

gather intormation and they could have one or

more possible solutions. All problems that are

given to the children to solve are allowing the

children to observe, analyze, synthesize and

evaluate events, information and ideas. This

allows the children to be able to construct new

ideas. When providing a problem-solving

activity to your students, you will need to

address the following information. Explain to the children that people learn to do

new things by watching, trying and

experimenting. Try to do somethings by

yourself and see how it turns out. It just might

turn out great. Research on self-

efficacy states "people may regulate their own

behavior or through motivation, thought

processes, affective states and actions or

changing environmental conditions based

around their efficacy beliefs. Perceived self

efficacy provides guidelines for enabling

people to exercise some influence over how

they love their lives. The practical life of the children depends upon

various factors such as Education, Family, and

Society. Children feel low self-esteemed if they

do not get motivation by adults and as a

result, they cannot think creatively and may

get upset with their lifestyles. So if children

like to do something, we should encourage

their thoughts and provide thenm with

materials so that they can innovate what they

want. For example, if a child likes painting buy

them different paints and paint boards to

facilitate their interests.

Inconclusion, the value of play in the lives of young children

cannot be underestimated. During play

children develop skills, habits and attitudes

that will stay with them throughout their lives.

As they play they learn to work together as a

team, they learn to cope with frustration, to

care about others, to share what they have

with others, they practice imagination and

fantasies and also to express their emotions.

Though play is important for people of all

ages, but it is particularly meaningful and

important for young children. Actually play is

their work, and they give a tremendous

amount of energy and effort to it.

Child play is actually inportant to child education and development in terms of relation to his mate and people at large. Many child faces challenges of development due to lack of play during his childhood and so, he tend to suffer at adulthood. This problem leads to difficulties to most of them.
