Organising an online course today has become part if life in our age. Just like we were faced with the global pandemic this year and almost everything turned digital, the world is getting to the height where everything we do is transformed from analog to digital.

Today, we have digital currencies all over the globe. It is no longer a subject of doubt that even what we learn is mostly from online sources.

In this article, I'd be giving a brief description of what an online course is and how you can validate your idea in order to gain the attention of your audience.

WHAT IS AN ONLINE COURSE:

¶ An online course is a transformational journey which takes the students or participants from the point of pain to the point of solution and answers. This is different from a training. A Training is General in its purpose. But a course is focused on the journey the students will embark on and not just the knowledge they will get.

¶ An Online course is a digital medium of learning, unlearning and relearning specific concepts, beliefs and values that changes the students' perspectives/paradigm about a specific area of their lives which they had before enrolling for the online course.

¶ It is an organised structured format of digital solutions communicated to a specific set of people to address specific problems using videos, audios,PDFs, workbooks etc.

Note that Getting Results from an online course is in two Aspects: from the part of the course creator and from the part of the students

A COURSE IS NOT A TRAINING

There are different kinds of online courses you could give your audience one of which is physical demonstration;

This is in form of a video. This is used when there's a physical demonstration of what you are teaching e.g catering, baking etc. It could be a live video where You're explaining and you want people to interact with you.

One advantage of this is that it will make the session real and help people connect with you

The second one is A VIDEO WITH SLIDES:

This is the most commonly used in our world today. For instance, the adverts we watch every day on the television. You could make your online session look just like it.

The information on the slides are key points while at the same time, the tutor would be relating and explaining those points to the audience.

3. AUDIO FORMAT:

This one doesn't require any visual display. No screen, just your phone. People don't have to sit down one place listening to you. They can be involved in other things and are listening to the course.

Note that this online course can generate income to you as the coordinator.

4. PDF GUIDE:

Everyone knows what a PDF file is. (A Portable Display Format). You can do that and turn it into an online course. Its a guide with steps.

5. A Case Study:

This one is simply showing them instances. What you have practiced and have worked for you.

E.g. How I made 1.5m selling Information on WhatsApp in 4months

This can be made an Online Course Case study and you show them step by step guide on how you had achieved that result.

Now let's see HOW TO VALIDATE YOUR ONLINE COURSE IDEA:

There are different ways in which one can make any idea valid in order to give to the audience. One if such is that you have to CREATE A CONTENT AROUND YOUR COURSE IDEA:

This will help you to find out if the idea is needed by people as well as the number of people that are in demand if that idea.

The fact that you have found out that it is a demanding problem but you're not getting feedbacks means the idea is in the Inspiration Phase and not in the Transformational Phase.

In this case, do a live video on the idea just to throw more light on it.

Also Do a free training around that idea; Create a free online MiniCourse on it. Free means you're giving out for free. Create the Focus and sell it for a cheap price: Once they get Results, increase your price and sell.

I bet you that this will change your life for good. To be continued...
