Honesty is the best policy

Mrs. Cinderella is a woman of high standard and virtue, she is a very respected and intelligent woman that takes no case of fraud and fraudulent act likely, she so frowns at people that steal to the extent that she can stop being one's friend for acting being smart fraudulently in accounting for money, she was almost named Mrs honesty because of her level of truthfulness.

This is no surprise as the home she was from was a home of truthful and honest parents, her father and mother were both bankers and they were never questioned about any missing fund in the bank in which they worked, this was part of the reasons why she also aspired to become a banker which she achieved as she is the head of the Unity bank, along Irewole road. In her life story when she became the manager of Unity bank, she told us about how truthful and honest her parents were before they died. she said they were the ones that spur in her the spirit of being truthful which has been a trademark for her till the moment she was being appointed the manager of the well respected bank. Even though she wasn't opportuined to be sponsored by her parents past the secondary school level, she didn't take that as an excuse for being bias or being a cheat.

In her story, despite the fact that she lost her parents at a young age, she decided to be loyal and honest and she was well known for that which made her lucky to get employed in a commercial Bank as a messenger. In the back at which she worked at that time, she was known for her truthfulness and honesty as she never joined other staffs to cheat the bank or cheat other people, and she always told the others that if they could all be as honest as she is, there would be no cases of fraudulent practices in our bank institutions. In a lot of ways did she stop some other staffs from carrying out their fraudulent practices either by telling the boss or encouraging them not to do such evil to the institution that pays them salaries at regular intervals, she was known to the extent that other staffs of the bank would never let her know of any fraud they plan amongst themselves.

Her act of honesty later paid off on a particular hot afternoon around 2pm when a gang of robbers broke into the bank that she worked, all the staffs of the bank were ushered to the hallway in the bank and they took the manager along with them as they left the remaining of us lying down with two hefty men armed with guns which look like AK47, we were all scared to death as we didn't hear back from the director not knowing that they were carting away cash from the back of the bank into the car they brought, periodic gun shots were heard outside the bank and everywhere was calm as these people did all they were at the bank for, at the end of the robbery, it was reported that all the cash available in the bank that very day was carried away by these evil men, the bank sought for advise to avoid it's collapse as insurance came to the rescue, we were all given a week break to see therapists and get ourselves back after we must have been frightened after hearing gunshots.

We all resumed back to work the following Monday, luckily for us, nobody was injured and no death was recorded,we got back to our work and I went to clean the back of the bank, as I was doing my cleaning, I was also to dispose cartons of failed transaction papers, it was an order from the manager. As I got closer to the carton, I noticed that the cartons were not just filled with paper but naira bills among some other currencies, "I was obviously tempted to keep some bills" she said. But she never did because of the virtue in her, she called the MD of the bank and reported to him and he followed her to where the money was discovered and he testified to it that the robbers were in a hurry to leave was why they forgot some bills, the bills were carried back to the vault and she was reported to the overall owner of the bank and she was honoured with a sum of #500,000. Her promotion from that day henceforth was as rapid up till date as she was being appointed the new Manager of the institution. She mounted the podium and said " HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY".
