Korean Hackers claims to hacker Indian video giant ZEE5 and has infringed systems and threatens to sell this database. Zee5 has more than 150 million users worldwide and it's also part of the Essel group.
Zee5 is an Indian video streaming service. The Hacker claims to expose Information on recent transactions, passwords, mobile number, emails, messages etc. The perpetrator also stated that he dumped over 150 GB of "private info" from Zee.com including source code from the website, and plan to sell it soon.
The hacker threatens to published Zee5 database to the general public if they don't pay "10 ETH has a donation to their hack", they also shared an image a repository on bitbucket.org
These hackers published partial details from the breached database, hidden keys in the Live Quellcode, connections to their Atlassian board and Amazon bucket credentials, making the situation even worse. They claim to have access to every Indian user data.
Further work is underway and ZEE5 has not yet responded.
Whereas a Personal Data Privacy Bill 2019 has been introduced under Indian law, it is still being studied and not completely made into law. The bill also does not contain any reference of fines.
i wonder how they do that.... inside job? or just power of mind alone.
