Twitter has removed dozens of tweets at the request of the Indian government criticizing the same government's corona approach. The messages, including from a critical member of parliament, minister of an Indian state, an actor and two film producers, are no longer visible to Indian Twitter users, MediaNama reports . It would be a total of 52 messages.
Twitter says in a response to the incident that it will delete tweets if they violate the rules. If it turns out that messages do not violate the rules, but do violate a certain jurisdiction, access can only be blocked in India. Users whose tweets are no longer visible will be informed about this by Twitter.
