Unknown perpetrators were apparently able to fish large amounts of data from the computers of Germany Chamber of Crafts, as reported by NDR 1 Lower Saxony. This mainly affects data from employees, correspondence and data exchange with member companies, their employees as well as with funding providers and service providers, it says. However, according to the information, not all data has been manipulated. According to the association, some of it has been saved on unaffected servers.

Chamber Do Not Want to Pay The Ransom

The hackers encrypted the captured files. You ask the Chamber of Crafts for money to release the data again. The Chamber does not want to go into that. At the moment, the association has to work more frequently with a pen, paper and printed calendar entries, according to Managing Director Peter Karst. He hopes that the chamber will be available again via email by the end of next week.

The Chamber of Crafts is not the only institution that has recently fallen victim to cyber criminals. Last year, a Trojan attack paralyzed the city administration of Neustadt am Rübenberge in the Hanover region for months.
