The world's largest cruise line Operator Carnival corporation disclosed that they have suffered a ransomware attack in August.
Carnival operates about 100 ships and has more than 120,000 employees worldwide. In a recent al filing with US security exchange commission, they disclosed the impact of the cyberattack.
Although they didn't disclose which ransomware group was behind the attack they did mention that the attackers manage to access personal information from employees and customers and this fits the typical pattern of data breach and ransomware combination that has become so very popular with cybercriminals these days.
Carnival didn't experience any major business interruption buy they are preparing for potential legal claims that cloud now follows the data breach. This is, of course, a heavy hit for them specifically the already difficult times with all the travel restriction in progress and also the second-largest cyber attack for them as they have already been hit about a year ago.
With the advance behaviour based heuristics in Acronis cyber Protect, you can block New Ransomware without the need for any signature updates before you can actually inflict any damage to your system.
Its a good article here my friend thanks for the information you've shared with us here.
