Contemporary society has changed and not necessarily for the better. It's sad when we live in a world where our God-given and Constitutionally protected rights to free speech are being muffled by cancel culture. At the rate we are headed there is nothing to prevent civil wars and a new world war. History proves me right.
Have you even been smeared for voicing the wrong opinion? How about suspended on Facebook for not following a Marxist narrative? I have. Smears are but one way leftists are attacking good people with morals and Christian values.
Do you take the time to check to see if a news story is real or fake? I do. It's necessary because the danger of not doing so it that we perpetuate a harmful lie. It doesn't matter what side of the political spectrum you are on, fake news is damaging to any culture.
Another method to silence people is to attack their character. Hello? We all have flaws and they can be easily exploited. People who utilize cancel culture take extreme steps to silence people, looking at their social media posts and finding any comment they deem offensive.
If character assassination, fake news and smears are not effective, destructive rumors are spread. Rumors are lies, dreamed up out of hate. They have the capacity to ruin reputations if one does not speak up and defend oneself. We must defend ourselves, because history demonstrates that silence brings about more of the same vicious lies.
Reality is no longer reality. Evil is called good, and good is called evil. This is a sign of the end times, my friends and colleagues.
Free speech is crucial to maintaining any democracy. This includes speech we may not agree with. But it is important to hear what others have to say and let our conscience decide what is acceptable to us. We don't cancel the speech we disagree with but rather we speak up and provide another voice regarding an issue.
Maybe you've been a victim of cancel culture. If you haven't, fasten your seat belt because it is inevitable.
Keep in mind that we are not obligated to bend a knee or ascribe to political correctness. Again, we should follow our conscience and stick to our values and morals. In the end, we are all on trial. I for one refuse to be found guilty. You should as well. Speak up!
