And you want to help things along, now don't you? Which is where dry-brushing, exfolliants and massages come into it. Missing these elements out won't sabotage your detox but including them will enable you to achieve maximum results.

Body:

As you detox you will notice that the skin all over your body becomes softer of its own accord. This is because a healthy detox diet prevents your system becoming congested, a condition manifested in rough skin and poor circulation.

To maximize this, get into the habit of exfoliating the skin on your body on a regular basis. Some enthusiasts advocate daily skin scrubs but twice a week, so long as you keep at it, will do just as well.

When you are breathing deeply it is the area below your ribcage - the diaphragm- which should rise not your chest. While lying in the bath 🛀,rest your hand on your diaphragm and practice breathing so that you can feel that area rising and falling with every breath.

Have a bath :

When you emerge from a warm bath your body mimics exactly what it does when it goes to sleep. It cools down and the heart rate reduces. Have one just before bed 🛌 and you're already on the path to sleep.Note: a hot bath will only make you more restless.

Exercise 💪:

Don't exercise vigorously within two hours of trying to go to sleep, Though a gentle night - time walk will help to soothe your nerves. Exercising earlier in the day will help you sleep, as it de-stress you.

Sleep on your left hand side:

This way the intestines are in the best position to do their work. Lying on your side with your head supported is the best position for your spine as lying on your front or back accentuates the S- curve unnaturally often causing backache.
