Middle of the week blahs. Gotta be something more somewhere...
Middle of the afternoon (2:02 P.M./14:02 local time) April 8 2024 - southeastern Illinois USA. People asked about the eclipse - I told them it looked like very bright moonlight... #SolarEclipse2024
The first photo is peak totality during the eclipse yesterday (April 8) - it was pretty awesome to see this hanging in the sky staring down at me.

The Princess and the Pee (A Short Story) One morning the Princess of the Little People awoke before anyone else and decided she was thirsty. With everyone else still asleep, she arose from her bed and went to the kitchen - and there, in the refrigerator door, she espied a bottle of apple cider. "Apple cider!" she exclaimed. "I love apple cider!" Taking the top from the bottle, she quickly drew a huge draught to quench her parched mouth - and just as quickly spat it out onto the floor. "Why, this juice has gone rancid!" she said. "Someone needs to throw it away." And so she made as to dispose of it. Suddenly, her uncle walked into the kitchen and said "What are you doing with my urine sample?" The End
#RealLife Some days I am on top of my game. ___________________________________________________ Other days I open the refrigerator to get a trash bag out of the cupboard.
Y'all can have yer Spotify and YouTube and whatever for your musical needs - it's not your fault you don't know any better. If you've never heard a serious music system, you don't know what you're not hearing... Early morning with Alice Cooper and 'School's Out'.

This getting old SUCKS. Seems like I bruise at the gentlest of 'bumps'. I had to replace the blade/deck belt on my riding lawnmower - did it myself to save a bit of money (still cost $50 for the belt) and I now have several bruises on the back of each hand. BUT I can mow the lawn again now.
...and we're back!!! I thought the site was gone - for over 24 hours there was a site error preventing it loading properly. But that's okay, Easter was boring anyway.
My tulips sure are pretty.
There is naught near naked as a house without books. A simple truth.
facebook memory today from 3 years ago where a spammer had called my phone and I ended up getting her so mad that she yelled at me to never call her again - um, lady - YOU called ME. Then she REALLY got mad at me and hung up the line. lol I almost miss the daily spam calls I used to get :-)
Almost time for the sun to (finally) rise. (6:20 AM Thursday USA)
Some people think everything is about them.
3 AM, already been awake for about 2 hours or so. Guess I need to get motivated at least long enough to haul the trash cans out to the roadside for pickup this morning, they'll be here just before daybreak to empty them. Between the three cats (Scar, Emoci, and P.T.) I've had the front door open about 385 times so far. I really wish they'd choose to be either in or out, but they seem to think they want both at the same time and are trying to figure out how to accomplish it. G'morn' to all y'all from the U to the S of the A.
Good morning (2:50 A.M.) from the U to the S of the A. Morning music from Fleetwood Mac and their 1975 self-titled release.
3 A.M. and all is well, good early morning from the U to the S of the A.
Well hell - I went and joined Tangled for a few weeks and decided I really was doing nothing but wasting my time. I'm simply not into cryptocurrency, and also it appears hardly anyone I might associate with there lives on the same time schedule as me...simply too much 'dead' time there. So I gave someone all my crypto and killed my account.
1:28 am Sunday, March 17 2024 - Saint Patrick's Day for those that observe such things - myself, screw him, I like snakes. I guess it was Wednesday last week that I climbed up and cleared off the fall and winter debris from the roof (which happens when a house is surrounded by 50-year old trees) and cut back some new growth in the back yard and then Thursday did some more yard work and then started clearing out junk from two of the bedrooms (clothes and things - and literally thousands of old magazines - from people long dead that should have been tossed out when they died) and then Friday I could hardly walk - and Saturday wasn't so bad - and today I can walk normally again. Such is life. I really didn't need this big of a house - family room, kitchen, 4 bedrooms, bath-and-a-half, and a smaller house would mean less maintenance/cheaper heating/electric bills, the price on this was right - $9,000.00 US - so unless I some day find someone with a smaller house that wants to trade properties, this is where I will live until my dying day.
Well that went fairly painless. Tech showed up to install new service for my Internet this morning (Wednesday USA) and it was someone I have known for many years, which I think is 1000 times better than dealing with a complete stranger in your home. Didn't take but maybe an hour tops to run new line from the pole to the house and install a new modem (third photo shows speed for the old service yesterday and the new provider today). And since the day seemed fortuitous I decided with the sun shining and the temp at 24 I would climb up on the roof and clean out all the dead leaves and such from the valley - quite a lot off stuff had fallen during the past fall and winter. And I didn't fall off of the roof. #Winning

I've been sick of the company that is my internet service provider (landline internet) for a few years, but I've put up with the outages and low speeds and all simply because it was the cheapest going here. 4 months ago, my monthly bill was raised $5, which I had been expecting since the price of everything has been creeping up. Well, this month's bill today showed another increase, this time of $12 - which makes a 31% increase in the last 5 months. Meanwhile, my service has not gotten better, and I refuse to pay any more for bad service - so tomorrow (Wednesday USA) I have a technician from a different company coming to install internet service through them, and I spent 30 minutes on the phone this afternoon getting my old service cancelled as of Thursday. Second photo shows the absurdly low speeds that they now expect to receive $70 monthly for.

And it's back! I've spent the last hour trying to get logged in here.
This may have been a stupid move, but I sold off my BCH today and now I am going to hold the cash aside and wait to see what happens next...if it starts dipping again I'll wait to see where it bottoms out and perhaps buy back in again.
Well, I created a 'Tangled' account, and perhaps I'll take a look-see soon and try to figure out if I am really interested or not. Need something to do as dead as it is here. https://michaelratcliffe.tangled.com/
In the midst of Winter and Spring when Nature can't decide what she wants to do (sounds like lots of women I know).
If you are thinking about having a relationship with multiple people, remember that Snow White lived with 7 men and 6 of them were not Happy.
I never knew groundhogs/woodchucks were nocturnal but I just watched one walk across my driveway at 2:45 A.M.
Sage advice from Emoci
Early morning mood music - Sammy Hagar & The Circle's 'Space Between' followed by Pink Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here'.
Well hot damn, I no longer need Coinbase to sell my BCH, I can transfer it directly from my cold wallet to PayPal and sell it there.
Scar woke me up (at Midnight) because he THOUGHT he wanted to go out - until he stepped into the snow and immediately turned around and came back inside where he curled up and went back to sleep. 😽
