Except for days when I think 'Master Of Reality' is my favorite. Or OTHER days when I think their self-titled first release is my favorite. I'm not always consistent. lol But yeah...MOST DAYS this is my favorite Black Sabbath album. The 5th album in their catalog, I was always a bit put-off by the production work, it just didn't have enough 'presence' to it and was mastered rather badly in my opinion. But I bought a newer reissue several years ago and someone must have felt like I did, because this one sounds much better than the original I owned in another lifetime (yeah, I was a teenager then and I'm 61 now). this is one of the favorites of my brother.. when he was at age 17 or 19... brings back the memories ... maybe he is playing it in heaven now ...
OH, I loved Black Sabbath ... quite the mood. I was listening to them and playing some videogame :D And the covers ... another treat. This would surely go in my collection. Nice sound.... at work, but I listened to it 3 times already!
I listen to this. Not on vinyl. But I have some vinyl somewhere probably in the loungeroom cabinet unless they were taken when my dad took off.
I know many will disagree, but for me Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is Iommi's best riff and their greatest song. It was a sad thing that during the Reunion stuff they cut it short. I guess most will say Parnoid, which is a little predictable in my view. Iron Man is great, but would always go for Children of the Grave as a second - funnily enough I first heard it on Live Evil and it sounded like a song made for Dio, took me some time to adjust to Ozzy singing it.
Got introduced to Black Sabbath through the 'Nativity In Black' tribute album. I know them already but never really listened t anything outside of their hits. Then the tribute album happened and I got more interested.
