Leslie was one of the founding members of the early 70's band Mountain and also did a few albums with the group West, Bruce& Laing. He is likely best known for the song 'Mississippi Queen' from the first Mountain album, 'Climbing' (1970). And 43 years later, he was 'Still Climbing' with his next-to-last recording before his death in December 2020. This album has a specific memory for me---I had ordered it, then had a stroke that hospitalized me for several days and left me in a care home for a few weeks---and meanwhile this arrived at my house and it was the first thing I played when I finally got home. The lead song on side one, 'Dyin' Since The Day I Was Born', rang with a certain resonance and got played a LOT. Side one - 1. "Dyin' Since The Day I Was Born" 2. "Busted, Disgusted or Dead" 3.
