I like to 'shoot' the birds I see in my yard, and these are the 5 kinds of woodpeckers I have been lucky enough to see here. #1. Red-bellied woodpecker #2. Red-headed woodpecker #3 Yellow-bellied sapsucker #4. Downy woodpecker #5. Northern Flicker All of these shots are male, with the possible exception of #2, male and female red-headed woodpeckers have the exact same plumage.

I was blown away by the color of the birds. Where I live, there is only one single color or monotone color of bird.
