I've never had this problem before with any of the cats I have had (and I've had 50 years worth of cats) but this is the third time P.T. (Petey) has brought a bat home in the past 4 weeks.

It is a different cat,has strange instincts. After all, my opinion is that a bat resembles a mouse.
Except bats are flying in the air and mice do not have teeth like those.
How does he manage to catch a bat?
Leap and grab I would assume
Oh good Lord, Petey! Leave the bats alone, alright? :D
A hunter by nature... It's instinct, but I pity the poor lil bat's
He wanted to bring it in the house to me and THAT was not gonna happen lol
A gift of Love... Unfortunately it's hard to explain him why you won't accept it
Cats are very flexible, they can jump so high and catch birds It's my first time seeing a cat caught a bat. They are real hunters.😁
I'm not sure where P.T. is catching them but he's a pretty serious hunter, he's very quick and has an impressive leap.
How could he catch a flying bat? As high as the cat jumps, at least it has to climb a tree
Bats can swoop down fairly low when hunting
