...and we're back!!! I thought the site was gone - for over 24 hours there was a site error preventing it loading properly. But that's okay, Easter was boring anyway.

This getting old SUCKS. Seems like I bruise at the gentlest of 'bumps'. I had to replace the blade/deck belt on my riding lawnmower - did it myself to save a bit of money (still cost $50 for the belt) and I now have several bruises on the back of each hand. BUT I can mow the lawn again now.

So I was cutting a huge mess of briers (growing for over 20 years) from one corner of the beck yard and discovered part of the old chain-link fence that used to surround the yard under it. So I ordered a set of bolt-cutters to snip that loose and today I am going to finish cutting and hacking and chopping and moving the debris and I'll have an extra 200 sq ft of yard area. The largest branch off of this root structure had a diameter of about 1.5 inch/3.8 centimeter. 1st…

So - went to a memorial service held for my 3rd ex-wife Wednesday morning (April 24) - inoperable brain tumor and the cancer had spread through roughly 70% of her body. We'd been divorced for over 20 years but were still friends, and I felt I owed her the respect of attending. Unfortunately, it appear her oldest son had no such respect, as he did not show up for the service. I asked his brother were Frank was, and Joe said he'd sent a message to Frank a few weeks ago (via a…
