So I was cutting a huge mess of briers (growing for over 20 years) from one corner of the beck yard and discovered part of the old chain-link fence that used to surround the yard under it. So I ordered a set of bolt-cutters to snip that loose and today I am going to finish cutting and hacking and chopping and moving the debris and I'll have an extra 200 sq ft of yard area. The largest branch off of this root structure had a diameter of about 1.5 inch/3.8 centimeter. 1st photo before/after.
